20250407 LA County Long Beach City Council Item 5. 25-54867 Recommendation to accept Categorical Exemption CE-25-022; Approve a modification to a previously-approved Site Plan Review (App No. 1606- 02) (MOD25-002) for a façade remodel at an existing 40,000-square-foot vacant retail space (former hardware store), approve a new Site Plan Review (SPR25- 007), and adopt the proposed findings and conditions of approval thereto, to facilitate the conversion of a vacant 40,000 hardware store to a bowling alley and entertainment center, including the conversion of a 6,760-square-foot-garden center to building area at 4100 East Carson Street within the Long Beach Exchange (LBX) development in the Douglas Park North Planned Development District (PD-32 North); Approve a Conditional Use Permit (CUP25-001), and adopt the proposed findings and conditions of approval thereto, for the operation of a bowling alley and entertainment center within the remodeled and expanded building in PD-32 North; and Approve a Conditional Use Permit (CUP25-002) and adopt the proposed findings and conditions of approval thereto, for onsite alcohol beverage sales at a bowling alley and entertainment center with a California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Type 47 License (On-Sale General – Eating Place). 20250407 LA County Long Beach City Council Item 4. 25-54866 Recommendation to accept Categorical Exemption CE-25-020; and Approve a Conditional Use Permit (CUP24-009), and adopt the proposed findings and conditions of approval thereto, to allow for the expansion of onsite alcohol beverage sales at an existing restaurant with a California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Type 47 License (On-Sale General - Eating Place) through the legalization of an outdoor patio bar (38 linear feet) at 310 South Pine Avenue in Subarea 6 of the Downtown Shoreline Planned Development District (PD-6).
