20251027 LA County Alhambra City Council Item 19. APPROVE CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER: OPERATIONS OF ALHAMBRA COMMUNITY TRANSIT AND SENIOR RIDE – F2M19-34, C2M19-38, M2M25-170 In 2019, First Transit was awarded a contract to provide contract transit operations for the Alhambra Community Transit (ACT) and Alhambra Senior Ride. The agreement with First Transit has been extended multiple times and currently expires in June 2030. During Fiscal Year 2024-25 there was an increase in revenue hours due to traffic delays; therefore, additional appropriations in the amount of $47,864.81 are required to cover a budget shortfall under the contract. The additional appropriations are necessary to process final invoices and the close out the FY 2024-25 contracted services. Recommended Action: City Council approve Change Order #1 with First Transit Inc. for the Alhambra Community Transit and Senior Ride contract; increase contract C2M1938 by $47,864.81, bringing the total revised contract value to $2,556,950.31, subject to approval by the City Manager and City Attorney; direct the Finance Director to appropriate $47,864.81 from Prop A and Prop C Fund Balances; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize the Council’s action.
