MOTION (HARRIS-DAWSON - HERNANDEZ) relative to funding to
supplement the community intervention services provided through the Safe
Passage Program in Council District Eight (CD 8).
Recommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE
MAYOR:
1. UTILIZE $500,000 in the "Project SAVE (Council District 8)" portion of the
Council Community Projects line item in the General City Purposes Fund
No. 100/56, Account No. 000903 to supplement the community
intervention services provided through the Safe Passage Program in CD
8, currently being provided by Ward Economic Development Corporation
under City Contract C-144423.
2. INSTRUCT and AUTHORIZE the City Clerk to prepare, process and
execute the necessary documents with and/or payments to the Ward
Economic Development Corporation, or any other agency or
organization, as appropriate, utilizing the above amount, for the above
purposes, subject to the approval of the City Attorney as to form.
3. AUTHORIZE the City Clerk to make any corrections, clarifications or
revisions to the above instructions, including any new instructions, in
order to effectuate the intent of this Motion, including any corrections and
changes to fund or account numbers; said corrections / clarifications /
changes may be made orally, electronically or by any other means.

Recommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE
MAYOR:
1. AUTHORIZE the City Attorney, or designee, to enter into a contract with
Meyers Nave to assist with the case for an initial term of three years and
in an initial amount of $195,000.
2. REQUEST the City Administrative Officer (CAO) to identify funding in this
amount for this contract and include it in the year-end Financial Status
Report.
3. AUTHORIZE the City Attorney, or designee, to prepare Controller
instructions for any necessary technical adjustments, subject to the
approval of the CAO; and, AUTHORIZE the Controller to implement the
instructions.
