Consider and approve the appropriation of the 2025 FY25 Office of Community Oriented Policing Services Hiring Program and all requirements and conditions, 2. Consider and approve an increase in Police Department staffing from 132 to 137 sworn police officers in accordance with the City’s acceptance of the Program; 3. Consider the appropriation of funds in the amount of $625,000.00 from the FY25 COPS Hire Program Account No. 299-71-711-5-0-51110; 4. Consider the appropriation of funds in the amount of $405,000.00 from General Funds Account No. 100-71-711-5-0-51110; 5. Instruct the Finance Department to encumber the necessary funds and complete any budget amendments necessary to adopt the Program, and any additional funding requirements and/or necessary purchases; and 6. Authorize the City Manager, or Chief of Police, to sign and approve all documents, purchase, contractual, or grant modifications or adjustments.
