The new smart water meters will be able to send electronically daily water usage data through the FlexNet Network to the Water Billing Department for bi-monthly water bills. The City will purchase and receive the new meter lids. There is currently a long lead time of 14 to 16 weeks to receive shipment of the new meter lids. Accordingly, the City issued a RFP on May 29, 2025, supplemental administration services. Based on Avant-Garde’s experience and past working relationship with the City, it is recommended that the City Council approve a Professional Services Agreement for the period of July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.
