A Resolution approving the Plans and Specifications for the Thompson Park\nImprovements – Installation of Outdoor Fitness Center (Specifications\nNo. 23/24-04) pursuant to Government Code §830.6, establishing a project\npayment account; and authorizing solicitation of bids.\nCEQA: Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) (Public\nResources Code §§ 21000, et seq.) and CEQA Guidelines (California Code of\nRegulations, Title 14, §§ 15000, et seq.), the City conducted an environmental\nassessment for the project consisting of an Initial Study and Mitigated Negative\nDeclaration. D Consideration and possible action to adopt the following resolutions relative\nto the November 5, 2024, Special and General Municipal Election:\nResolution No. 24-28 - A Resolution calling for a Special and General\nMunicipal Election to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, for the election\nof City Council Members as required by the provisions of the Laws of the\nState of California relating to general law cities; and\nResolution No. 24-29 - A Resolution requesting the Board of Supervisors of\nthe County of Los Angeles to consolidate the City of Bellflower’s Special and\nGeneral Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, with\nthe General Election to be held on the date pursuant to Section 10403 of the\nElections Code; and\nResolution No. 24-30 – A Resolution adopting regulations for candidates for\nelective office pertaining to candidates’ statements submitted to the voters\nat a Special and General Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday,\nNo. 16-78.\nRecommendation to City Council: 1) Adopt Resolution Nos. 24-28, 24-29, and\n24-30; or 2) Alternatively, discuss and take other action related to this item.\n14 CONSENT CALENDAR – Continued

E Consideration and possible action to award a contract to BP Ford of Long\nBeach for the purchase of two (2) 2024 F-150 half-ton full-size regular cab\npickup trucks and one (1) 2024 F-150 half-ton full-size super cab pickup truck\nfor the Public Works Department, and authorize the City Manager to execute\na contract with BP Ford of Long Beach, in a form approved by the\nCity Attorney.\nRecommendation to City Council: 1) Award a contract to BP Ford for the purchase\nof two (2) 2024 F-150 half-ton full-size regular cab pickup trucks and one (1) 2024\nF-150 half-ton full-size super cab pickup truck; and authorize the City Manager to\nexecute a contract with BP Ford, in a form approved by the City Attorney; or\n2) Alternatively, discuss and take other action related to this item.
