DBA EXCEL PAVING COMPANY FOR\nTHE PROJECT OVER A ONE (1) YEAR CONTRACT TERM FOR A TOTAL\nPURCHASE ORDER NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $3,128,360.\nComment: Staff recommends City Council approve Amendment No. 2 to the\ncontract with PALP, Inc. DBA Excel Paving Company for on-call pavement repair\nservices in the amount of $440,000.00 over a final one (1) year contract term;\napprove a construction contingency of 10% in the amount of $44,000.00; and\napprove the issuance of a change purchase order to PALP, Inc. EQUIPMENT IN THE NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF\n$60,000.\nComment: Staff recommends City Council waive the bidding requirements as the\nCity is utilizing the SourceWell bid process and approve a purchase order in the\namount of $131,203.22 to National Auto Fleet Group for the purchase of specified\nPolice Department replacement vehicles and authorize the City Manager to approve\npurchase orders to various vendors for the necessary hardware, software, and\nrelated equipment in the not-to-exceed amount of $60,000.

AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER,\nPAVECO CONSTRUCTION, INC., FOR THE STREET AND ALLEY\nIMPROVEMENTS FY24/25 WITHIN THE CITY OF BEVERLY HILLS,\nCALIFORNIA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,386,712.50; AND\nAPPROVAL OF THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS THEREFOR WITH\nRESPECT TO DESIGN CRITERIA; AND\nAPPROVAL OF A PURCHASE ORDER IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,625,383.75\nTO PAVECO CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR THE PROJECT; AND\nPURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL\nQUALITY ACT (CEQA), CITY COUNCIL WILL ALSO CONSIDER FINDING\nTHE PROJECT EXEMPT FROM FURTHER REVIEW UNDER CEQA.\nComment: Staff recommends City Council approve the award of a contract to the\nlowest responsible bidder, Paveco Construction, Inc., for the street and alley\nimprovements at various locations Citywide in the amount of $2,386,712.50;\napprove the plans and specifications for the project with respect to design criteria;\napprove a construction contingency of 10% in the amount of $238,671.25; approve\nthe issuance of a purchase order to Paveco Construction, Inc., in the amount of\n$2,625,383.75; and, pursuant to the provisions of the California Environmental\nQuality Act (CEQA), City Council will also consider finding the project exempt from\nfurther review under CEQA.

First Reading - For\nIntroduction\nComment: Staff recommends that the City Council waive the full reading of the\nordinance and introduce it by title only for first reading.
