APPROPRIATION FROM THE EQUIPMENT AND FACILITY REVOLVING RESERVE TO\nADDRESS DEFERRED PARK MAINTENANCE ITEMS AND AUTHORIZATION TO ENTER\nINTO AN AGREEMENT WITH EXCEL LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE FOR REPLENISHMENT\nOF ENGINEERED WOOD FIBER AT CITY PARKS (FUNDING SOURCE: GENERAL FUND)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends the City Council:\nA. Appropriate $100,000 from the Equipment and Facility Revolving Account\nto fund the cost of the improvements described in the staff report; and\nB. Authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Excel\nLandscape in an amount not to exceed $63,000 for the replenishing of\nengineered wood fiber at City parks.

12. AWARD OF CONTRACT TO PINEDA GENERAL CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR THE\nBLAISDELL COMMUNITY CENTER KITCHEN REMODEL PROJECT (FUNDING SOURCE:\nGENERAL CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends the City Council:\nA. Award a contract to Pineda General Construction, Inc. in the amount of\n$109,595 for the Blaisdell Community Center Kitchen Remodel Project and\nauthorize a ten percent contingency in the amount of $10,959, for a total\namount not to exceed $120,554, and authorize the City Manager to execute\nthe agreement;\nB. Authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Lotus\nConstruction Group in the amount of $7,000 for project management\nservices;\nC. Appropriate $127,554 from the General Capital Projects Fund to fully fund\nthe Blaisdell Community Center Kitchen Remodel Project; and\nD. Authorize acceptance of $127,554 from the Claremont Senior Foundation,\nInc. to reimburse the City for the total cost of the project.
