AUTHORIZATION TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH ALTA PLANNING AND DESIGN\nFOR THE PREPARATION OF THE CLAREMONT ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PLAN\n(FUNDING SOURCE: PROPOSITION C FUND)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends the City Council authorize the City Manager to enter into a\nprofessional services agreement with Alta Planning and Design, Inc., for\nspecialized planning and design services in the amount of $439,017,\nincluding a ten percent contingency in the amount of $43,902 for a total not\nto exceed agreement of $482,919.

AUTHORIZATION TO AMEND AGREEMENT WITH COLBERT ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP\nFOR NATIONAL POLLUTANT DISCHARGE ELIMINATION SYSTEM AND MUNICIPAL\nSEPARATE STORM SEWER SYSTEM COMPLIANCE SERVICES (FUNDING SOURCE:\nGENERAL FUND & MEASURE W FUND)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends that the City Council:\nA. Authorize the City Manager to amend the existing agreement with Colbert\nEnvironmental Group for National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System and\nMunicipal Separate Storm Sewer System permit compliance _ services,\nincreasing compensation by $92,550, for a total agreement amount of\n$142,550, and including up to four additional one-year terms in an amount\nnot to exceed $150,000 per year; and\nB. Authorize the City Manager to execute up to four one-year term\nextensions not to exceed $150,000 per year.

AUTHORIZATION TO ACQUIRE TWO CONTIGUOUS REAL PROPERTIES IN THE\nCLAREMONT HILLSIDES NORTHWEST OF HIGHPOINT DRIVE (APNS 8678-019-013 &\n8678-019-012) (FUNDING SOURCE: GENERAL FUND)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends the City Council:\nA. Authorize the City Manager to execute the Purchase and Sale\nAgreements in substance and form substantially similar to Attachments C and\nD, and any other documents needed to acquire the Jaffe and Seaver\nProperties;\nB. Authorize the City Manager to approve and execute assignment and\nassumption of one or more grant agreements imposing conditions,\nrequirements, and restrictions for the City's use of one or both properties\nand related documents relating to grant funding, such as deed restrictions\nand funding acknowledgment plans or statements relating to signage;\nC. Appropriate $300,000 from the Open Space Acquisition Reserve and\n$100,000 from the unassigned General Fund balance to fund the City's\ncontribution towards the acquisition of the properties; and\nD.
