Update on Discussions Between the City of Cudahy and Los Angeles County Department of\nAnimal Care and Control regarding Municipal Services Agreement to Provide General Animal\nCare and Control Services (page 137)\nPresented by the Assistant City Manager/Community Development Director\nRecommendation: The City Council is requested to:\n1. Hear staff’s presentation summarizing discussions and\ncommunications between the City of Cudahy (“City”) and Los\nAngeles County Department of Animal Care and Control (“County”);\nand\n2. Adopt Resolution No. 24-37, approving the execution of the County\nMunicipal Services Agreement (“Agreement”), accepting all terms\nand conditions, to provide the City general animal care and control\nservices, or;\n3. Continue to negotiate and hold discussions with the County to\naddress unresolved issues as summarized in this report, causing a\nlapse in services as the County will no longer provide services without\nan executed contract as of December 1, 2024.
