1. WAIVE THE READING OF ORDINANCES AND APPROVE READING BY TITLE ONLY RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the reading by title only of all ordinances and that further reading of such ordinances be waived.

2. REGULAR MEETING MINUTES, JULY 7, 2026 RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the minutes.

3. PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES, JUNE 22, 2026 RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council receive and file the minutes.

4. CLAIMS AND DEMANDS RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council receive and file the Claims and Demands.

5. DEVELOPMENT UPDATE RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council receive and file the Development Update.

6. GUIDELINES ON REPLACEMENT HOUSING UNITS IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE HOUSING LAW RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council receive and file the report.

7. AMENDMENT TO THE DANA POINT MUNICIPAL CODE TO REPEAL SECTIONS 8.04 (UNIFORM SIGN CODE) AND 8.08 (TENT CODE) WHICH ARE ADEQUATELY ADDRESSED THROUGH THE ADOPTED CALIFORNIA BUILDING STANDARDS CODE (TITLE 24) RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council: 1) Open the Public Hearing; and, 2) Introduce and hold for a first reading an Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DANA POINT, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE DANA POINT MUNICIPAL CODE TO REPEAL SECTIONS 8.04 AND 8.08 OF TITLE 8. UNFINISHED BUSINESS None. NEW BUSINESS

8. SELECTION OF A CONTRACTOR FOR PREVENTATIVE TREATMENT OF PALMS IN CAPISTRANO BEACH TO PROTECT AGAINST THE SOUTH AMERICAN PALM WEEVIL RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council: 1) Select a contractor to provide a preventative treatment program for the 98 City-maintained Canary Island date palms located along Camino Capistrano and Avenida Las Palmas in the historic Capistrano Beach area, for protection against the South American Palm Weevil; and 2) Authorize the City Manager to execute a professional services agreement with the selected contractor in an amount not to exceed $70,000.
