A. Master Case (MCN) No. 24-0073 and Municipal Code 25-0145\nAmendment (MCA) No. 24-0006: Fontana Municipal Code\nAmendments to Chapter 30 (Zoning and Development\nCode) to modify Section No. 30-467 pertaining to accessory\ndwelling units (ADUs) and junior accessory dwelling units\n(JADUs) to comply with State of California law.\nBased on the information in the staff report, staff recommends that the City\nCouncil introduce Ordinance No. 1966; and,\n1. Determine that the proposed ordinance is statutorily exempt from the\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) pursuant to California\nPublic Resources Code section 21080.17 as CEQA does not apply to the\nadoption of an ordinance by a city or county implementing the provisions\nof Article 2 of Chapter 13 of Division 1 of Title 7 of the California\nGovernment Code, Which is California’s ADU law and which also\nregulates JADUs, as defined by section 66313; and,\n2. Adopt an Ordinance for Municipal Code Amendment (MCA) No. 24-0006\nto amend Chapter 30 of the Municipal Code.
