POLICE DEPARTMENT BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CLINICIAN PILOT PROGRAM\nCounty Supervisor Doug Chaffee has allocated $1,000,000 of County of Orange Board of\nSupervisor discretionary funds (ARPA funds) for a two-year pilot program to employ two\nbehavioral health clinicians in the Fullerton Police Department. The Police Chief and City\nManager request City Council consideration to use these funds to initiate a Pilot Program.\nRecommendation:\n1. Appropriate receipt and use of $1,000,000 to the Police Department in the Grant Fund\n(Fund 32).\n2. Authorize Administrative Services Director, or designee, to issue a $111,985\npurchase order with National Auto Fleet Group for vehicles and upfitting and authorize\nchange orders necessary within program budget.\n3. Approve addition of two full-time equivalent Police Behavioral Health Clinicians to\nFiscal Year 2023-24 Police Department Personnel Summary.\n4.
