CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL—ANTICIPATED LITIGATION\nPursuant to the provisions of Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(2) & (e)(3) to\nconfer with its legal counsel with regard to a matter of significant exposure to\nlitigation.\nNumber of Potential Cases: One (1) – A letter was sent to the City Attorney’s office,\ndated August 15, 2023, from Denise Fellers at the law firm of Morgan Lewis\nrepresenting the BKK Working Group in a dispute over liability from a cleanup of a\nlandfill in West Covina. The letter requests the City enter into a tolling agreement with\nrespect to the threatened dispute. The letter is attached to the agenda and is also\navailable for review upon request at the City Clerk’s Office, where it is on file.
