d) REPORT RECOMMENDATION TO REJECT CLAIM\n24-0212 (Risk Management Analyst Vanessa Lassooy)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends City Council reject the following claim and refer it to the City's Liability\nClaims Administrator.\nClaimant: Katherine Kronheim\nDate of Loss: March 8, 2024\nDate Filed: March 14, 2024\nAllegation: Claimant's tire was damaged by a sharp metal object which was allegedly a\nremnant of debris left behind after the Prospect Avenue renovation. Claimant requested\nthe replacement of all four tires.\nDenial Reason: There is no evidence to prove that the unknown piece of metal is from\nthe recent work completed on Prospect Avenue. The recent work consisted of traffic\nstriping paint for the crosswalk, and it is unlikely that the unknown piece of metal came\nfrom this work.
