Approve acceptance of work performed by Palp Inc. DBA Excel Paving for the\nconstruction of CIP 2018-11 Active Transportation Program Cycle 4 Project No.\nATPL-5150(014);\n2. Authorize staff to execute the Notice of Completion (NOC) and direct the City\nClerk to file the NOC with the Los Angeles County Recorder’s Office; and\n3. Release the retention amount of $211,799.04 to Palp Inc. DBA Excel Paving 35\ndays after the effective date of the recordation of the NOC, if no Stop Notices are\nfiled within the 35-day period.

FIRST READING AND INTRODUCTION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING\nSECTIONS 2-1.102 AND 2-1.103 OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 1 OF TITLE 2 OF THE\nHUNTINGTON PARK MUNICIPAL CODE INCREASING THE SALARY OF\nMEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL PURSUANT TO AND CONSISTENT WITH\nSENATE BILL 329\nRECOMMENDED THAT CITY COUNCIL:\n1. Introduce and conduct a first reading of an Ordinance (Attachment 1) amending\nSections 2-1.102 and 2-1.103 of the Huntington Park Municipal Code to increase\nthe salary of members of the City Council pursuant to Senate Bill 329; and\n2. Approve the findings contained in the Ordinance which demonstrates the need for\nthe increased City Council salary; and\n3. Provide direction to City personnel to bring the Ordinance back for a second\nreading and adoption at the next City Council meeting.
