4. RESOLUTION NO. 23-11, ADOPTING A SALARY CHART FOR PART-TIME EMPLOYEES AND\nAMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 22-48, A SALARY CHART FOR FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES TO\nUPDATE THE SALARY FOR AMBULANCE OPERATOR - Resolution No. 23-11 and the associated\npart-time salary table reflect adjustments in compensation resulting from increases in the California\nMinimum Wage as well as adjustments to better reflect aquatics employee work duties and\nresponsibilities. The proposed changes also include an adjustment to the full-time Ambulance\nOperator position since they are also tied to the statutory minimum wage of $15.50 per hour.\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Adopt Resolution No. 23-11, titled, “A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY\nOF LA VERNE, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A SALARY\nCHART FOR PART-TIME EMPLOYEES AND MENDING RESOLUTION NO. 22-48, A SALARY\nCHART FOR FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES TO UPDATE THE SALARY FOR AMBULANCE\nOPERATOR”; and,\n2. Appropriate $39,100 from the General Fund to cover the minimum wage increase through\nthe remainder of the 2022-23 Fiscal Year.\nPUBLIC HEARINGS – None\nOTHER MATTERS – None

The City Council will meet in Closed Session pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6 for the\nfollowing:\nConference with Labor Negotiators\nNegotiators: City Manager, Assistant City Manager, and City Attorney\nEmployee Organization(s): La Verne City Employees Association, La Verne Police\nOfficers’ Association, La Verne Police Middle Management\nAssociation, and all unrepresented employees.

6. The City Council will meet with its legal counsel to discuss significant exposure to litigation\npursuant to Government Code §54956.9(e)(3):\nConference with Legal Counsel – Anticipated litigation, one potential case.
