Street Closure Agreement for the 2023 University of La Verne Scholarship Gala - The City Council\nis requested to approve a street closure agreement for the 2023 University of La Verne Scholarship Gala\nEvent. The request is to close portions of 3rd Street, between B Street and C Street, for the event\noccurring from May 4 through May 7, 2023.\nRecommendation: It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute an\nAgreement with the University of La Verne providing for a temporary street closure of a portion of Third\nStreet, between B Street and C Street, for the La Verne Scholarship Gala occurring May 4 to May 7,\n2023.

Adoption of Ordinance No. 1115, Adding Chapter 10 (Military Equipment Policy) to Title 9 of the\nLa Verne Municipal Code - Under Assembly Bill 481 (AB 481) the City Council is required to annually\nrenew the Police Department’s Military Equipment Use Policy and Inventory through adoption of an\nordinance.\nRecommendation: That the City Council approve a motion to waive further readings and Adopt\nOrdinance No. 1115, as follows:\nAN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA VERNE CALIFORNIA AMENDING\nCHAPTER 10 (“MILITARY EQUIPMENT POLICY”) OF TITLE 9, SECTION 10.04.010 OF THE\nLA VERNE MUNICIPAL CODE GOVERNING THE USE OF MILITARY EQUIPMENT BY THE\nDEPARTMENT AND APPROVING THE UPDATED MILITARY EQUIPMENT POLICY 709.
