Authorize the\nCity Manager to sign both agreements.

Approve the First Amendment to the street\nsweeping services agreement to require the Contractor to provide for the legal disposal\nof all street sweepings at an annual cost of $39,400 for the period of January 1, 2024\nthrough December 31, 2025; and 2.) 16. Award of Construction Contract for the Parks, Civic Center, and Sheriff Station\nParking Lot Rehabilitation Project\nRecommendation: that the City Council 1.) Award the construction contract to Onyx\nPaving Company, Inc., in the amount of $486,486.00 for the Parks, Civic Center, and\nSheriff Station Parking Lot Rehabilitation Project; and 2.) Approve the construction\ncontingency of $73,000.00 for the Parks, Civic Center, and Sheriff Station Parking Lot\nRehabilitation Project; and 3.) 6. Consideration of Claims for Damage against the City\nRecommendation: that the City Council reject the claim filed by Law Offices of Javaheri\n& Yahoudai on behalf of Oscar Javier Roldan and instruct staff to process the appropriate\ncorrespondence to the claimant.

Request for approval of First Amendment to Contract Service Agreement with\nTranstech Engineers, Inc. for Professional City Engineering and Public Works\nOversight Services\nRecommendation: that the City Council a) approve the first amendment to the contract\nservices agreement with Transtech Engineers, Inc. for Professional City Engineering and\nPublic Works Oversight Services in a maximum contract sum not to exceed $161,590;\nand b) authorize the Director of Finance/City Treasurer to transfer salary savings for the\nDirector of Public Works/City Engineer to the contract services line item in the Public\nWorks Department budget.
