Authorize the City Manager to Execute Agreements with the California Department of\nTax and Fee Administration for Implementation of a Local Transactions and Use Tax,\nand Authorize Examination of Sales or Transactions and Use Tax Records\nReference: Stacey Tang, Finance Director\nRecommendation: Adopt the following Resolutions:\n(1) Adopt a Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute Agreements with the\nCalifornia Department of Tax and Fee Administration for Implementation of a Local\nTransactions and Use Tax; and\n(2) Adopt a Resolution Authorizing Examination of Sales or Transactions and Use Tax\nRecords; and\n(3) Authorize the necessary budget amendment of $175,000 to temporary cover\npreparatory costs to administer the Ordinance until such a time when the\ntransactions and use taxes are received to reimburse the General Fund.
