1-D.\nAcceptance and Allocation of State of California Emergency Solutions\nGrant Funds\nRecommendation: Adopt and instruct the Chair to sign a resolution to accept in\nan amount not to exceed $5,352,986 in Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)\nfunds from the State Department of Housing and Community Development\n(HCD), which will be used to provide services to persons who are homeless, or\nat the risk of becoming homeless, in the County. Authorize the Executive\nDirector of the Los Angeles County Development Authority to enter into an\nagreement with the State, through its Department of HCD, to receive an amount\nnot to exceed $5,352,986 in State ESG funds for programs that assist persons\nwho are homeless, and incorporate these funds into the Los Angeles County\nDevelopment Authority's (LACDA) Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget, as needed, and\ninclude the final distribution of State ESG funds to the Los Angeles Homeless\nServices Authority (LAHSA). Authorize the Executive Director to enter into\nagreements with the State in subsequent years for State ESG funds for\nprograms that assist the homeless and incorporate these State ESG funds into\nfuture LACDA budgets through the regular budget process. Authorize the\nExecutive Director to enter into an agreement with LAHSA to allocate State ESG\nfunds in an amount not to exceed $5,352,986 to fund programs that assist\npersons who are homeless.
