The project has been completed and is now ready for acceptance by the\nCity Council. 9.1 APPROVAL OF NON-PROFIT APPLICATIONS FOR THE SALE OF SAFE AND SANE\nFIREWORKS\nComments:\nThe purpose of this item is to review and approve the five (5) qualified applicants for the\nsale of Safe and Sane Fireworks during July 1 through July 4, 2025. At its Regular City\nCouncil Meeting held on March 18, 2024, the City Council approved the sale of Safe and\nSane Fireworks. As of April 1, 2025, a total of five (5) applications were received by the\nCity Clerk's Office. (CC)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council review the item and approve the five (5) qualified\napplicants.

9.2 ACCEPTANCE OF 2025 DODGERS DREAMTEAM YOUTH BASEBALL/SOFTBALL\nGRANT PROGRAM AGREEMENT\nComments:\nThe Recreation & Community Services Department applied for 2025 grant funding from\nthe Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF). An approved proposal allows the City to\ncontinue its partnership as a Dodgers Dreamteam affiliate youth baseball and softball\nprogram. The LADF has notified staff that its application was successful and the\npartnership will continue for the 2025 Lynwood Youth Baseball & Softball (LYBS) Spring\nand Summer seasons. Staff is requesting that the City Council formally accept the grant\nthrough adoption of accompanying Resolution. (RCS)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution entitled, “A\nRESOLUTION OF THE LYNWOOD CITY COUNCIL APPROVING AN AGREEMENT\nWITH THE LOS ANGELES DODGERS FOUNDATION FOR THE 2025 DODGERS\nDREAMTEAM LYNWOOD YOUTH BASEBALL & SOFTBALL PROGRAM.”
