APPROVAL APPROPRIATION OF MEASURE A GRANT FUNDS AND\nCAPITAL PROJECT FUNDS BUDGETED TO PARK\nPLAYGROUND PROJECTS (CITY PROJECT NOS. 9254, 9350,\n9351, 9461) AND THE DILLS PARK RENOVATION PROJECT\n(CITY PROJECT NO. 9259)\nRecommended Action: Approve the revised funding allocation\namong the five CIP projects listed above and appropriate an\nadditional $2,500 from the Capital Project Fund and $7,050 from the\nMeasure A Fund to cover the total increase of $9,550.\nAgenda March 26, 2024

PUBLIC HEARING FISCAL YEAR 2023-24 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN SUBSTANTIAL\nAMENDMENT\nRecommended Action: Conduct a public hearing; adopt the\namended One-Year Action Plan (FY 2023-2024); and authorize the\nCity Manager, or designee, to adjust the CDBG activity budget to\nconform with any change to the formula for grant allocations and\nexecute and submit all required documents and agreements to\namend the One-Year Action Plan in compliance with HUD\nregulations.

AWARD OF ALLEY IMPROVEMENTS (CITY PROJECT NO. 9434)\nCONTRACT Recommended Action: 1) Appropriate an additional $113,300\nfrom the available CDBG fund; and 2) Award the contract for Alley\nImprovements (City Project No. 9434) to Terra Pave, Inc., Whittier,\nCalifornia, in the amount of $375,710, and authorize the Mayor or\nher designee to execute the agreement.

AWARD OF ARTERIAL STREET RESURFACING (CITY PROJECT NO. 9430)\nCONTRACT Recommended Action: 1) Appropriate an additional $668,700\nfrom the City’s Prop C allocation; and 2) Award the contract for\nArterial Street Resurfacing (City Project No. 9430) to Sequel\nContractors, Inc., Santa Fe Springs, California, in the amount of\n$1,244,233, and authorize the Mayor or her designee to execute the\nagreement.

APPROVAL APPROPRIATION OF DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION (DOE)\nGRANT REVENUE FOR PEP SCHOLARSHIPS\nRecommended Action: Increase the FY 2023-24 estimated grant\nrevenue from the Department of Education by $200,000 and\nappropriate the same amount in the FY 2023-24 Community\nPromotion budget to provide for PEP Scholarship Program support.
