AWARD OF DOWNTOWN ELECTRICAL UPGRADE (CITY PROJECT NO.\nCONTRACT 9573) – APPROVAL OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS,\nFINDING THE PROJECT EXEMPT FROM THE CALIFORNIA\nENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT PURSUANT TO THE CLASS 1\nCATEGORICAL EXEMPTION, AND AWARD OF CONTRACT\nRecommended Action: 1) Approve the plans and specifications\nas detailed in the bid documents, with respect to design criteria; 2)\nFind the project exempt from CEQA; 3) Approve an additional\namount of $137,025 from the available Capital Project Fund\nBalance; and 4) Award the contract for the Downtown Electrical\nUpgrade project (City Project No. 9573) to Innovative Engineering\nSystems, Inc DBA Agilitech, Bakersfield, California, in the amount\nof $442,750 and authorize the Mayor or her designee to execute\nthe agreement.
