(Bryden) Recommendation: 1) Reconfirm, by a four-fifths vote, there is a need to continue the work on the Landslide Emergency Project declared by Council- adopted Resolution No. 2024-20 on May 7, 2024, finding an emergency exists requiring immediate action in the Greater Portuguese Bend-Ancient Altamira Landslide Complex (Landslide Complex) to seek to mitigate the movement of the landslide; and, 2) Direct the City Clerk to confirm the same in the minutes of this City Council meeting, via Minute Order, reflecting this action. F. Consider ratifying payments and approve an amendment to the Public Works Agreement for emergency work to the backup power system at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center. (Rodriguez) Recommendation: 1) Ratify additional emergency work, in the amount of $8,530, performed by L.U. Electric, Inc. to restore the emergency backup power system at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center (PVIC) between May 11, 2026 and May 22, 2026; 2) Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Public Works Agreement with L.U. Electric, Inc., to include the additional emergency work performed to restore the emergency backup power system at a cost of $8,530 and to complete the required weatherproofing to the electrical enclosure at the PVIC at a cost of $10,376 thereby increasing the not-to-exceed amount by $18,906 from $21,044 to $39,950 while maintaining a 10% contingency and extending the contract term by 70 days, and, 3) Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute Amendment No. 1, in a form approved by the City Attorney.
