CONSIDERATION OF AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF\nSOUTH PASADENA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 36 (ZONING) OF THE\nCITY CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH PASADENA TO ADD SECTION 36.250.060\nADOPTING A CAMINO DEL CIELO OVERLAY ZONING DISTRICT, MAKING\nFINDINGS TO SUPPORT THE ZONING CODE AND MAP AMENDMENT, AND\nFINDING THE ORDINANCE EXEMPT FROM THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL\nQUALITY ACT\nRecommendation\nStaff recommends that the City Council introduce the ordinance amending Chapter 36\n(Zoning) of the South Pasadena Municipal Code to add Section 36.250.060 adopting the\nCamino del Cielo Overlay Zoning District by title only and waive full reading and find that\nthe ordinance is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act as set forth in the\nstaff report.

CONSIDERATION TO PARTNER WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY\nMETROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (METRO) FOR THE DELIVERY\nAND USE OF A THRONE LABS RESTROOM FACILITY AS PART OF METRO'S\nINITIATIVES FOR THE 2026 WORLD CUP AND 2028 OLYMPIC AND PARALYMPIC\nGAMES\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider partnering with the Los Angeles County\nMetropolitan Transportation Authority for the delivery and use of a Throne Labs restroom\nfacility as part of an initiative for the 2026 World Cup and 2028 Olympic and Paralympic\nGames and authorize the City Manager to execute any documents or agreements related\nthereto.

CONSIDERATION OF AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF\nSOUTH PASADENA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ARTICLE XI (PURCHASING) AND\nARTICLE XIII (AWARDING PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTS) OF CHAPTER 2\n(ADMINISTRATION) OF THE SOUTH PASADENA MUNICIPAL CODE TO UPDATE\nPROCUREMENT PROVISIONS, INCLUDING REMOVING INCONSISTENCIES AND\nADOPTING PROVISIONS FOR EMERGENCY SITUATIONS AND MAINTENANCE\nWORK\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that the City Council introduce by title only and waive full reading of an\nOrdinance amending Article XI (Purchasing) and Article XIII (Awarding Public Works\nContracts) of Chapter 2 of the South Pasadena Municipal Code updating the procurement\nprovisions, removing inconsistencies and adopting provisions for contracting in\nemergencies and maintenance work.

CONSIDERATION OF AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF\nSOUTH PASADENA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 34 (TREES AND\nSHRUBS) RELATED TO THE PROCESS FOR OBTAINING TREE REMOVAL\nPERMITS FOR DEAD OR DYING TREES AND THE TREE REPLACEMENT\nREQUIREMENT\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that the City Council introduce for first reading and waive full reading\nof the Ordinance amending Chapter 34 (Trees and Shrubs) related to the process for tree\nremoval permits and the replacement requirement for trees that are no longer viable, such\nas dead or dying trees.
