CONSIDERATION OF SECOND READING AND ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE\nAMENDING CHAPTER 36 (ZONING) OF THE SOUTH PASADENA MUNICIPAL CODE\nAS IT RELATES TO HEIGHT, DENSITY AND DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS IN THE\nCITY'S ZONING AND OVERLAY DISTRICTS AND AMENDING THE CITY'S ZONING\nMAP TO IMPLEMENT THE CITY'S 2021-2029 (6TH CYCLE) HOUSING ELEMENT\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that the City Council adopt an Ordinance amending Chapter 36 of the\nSouth Pasadena Municipal Code (Zoning Code) as it relates to height, density and\ndevelopment standards in the City's zoning and overlay districts and amending the City's\nZoning Map to implement the City's 2021-2029 (6th Cycle) Housing Element.

12. CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF THE FIFTH AMENDMENT TO THE\nPROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH MNJ ADVISORS, INC. FOR\nTEMPORARY STAFFING SERVICES, IN THE AMOUNT OF $22,000 FOR A NEW\nTOTAL NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $175,000 AND TO EXTEND THE\nTERMINATION DATE THROUGH OCTOBER 3, 2025\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider approving the proposed Fifth\nAmendment to the Professional Services Agreement with MNJ Advisors, Inc., to extend\nthe agreement through October 3, 2025, and increase the compensation in the amount of\n$22,000 for continued temporary staffing services, for a new total not-to-exceed\ncompensation amount of $175,000.\nACTION/DISCUSSION

CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE SOUTH\nPASADENA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT\nACTIVITIES THROUGH A FUNDING ALLOCATION OF BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT\n4\nTAX REVENUES IN THE AMOUNT OF $82,000, AND RECEIVE AND FILE THE\nSOUTH PASADENA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ANNUAL REPORT\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider:\n1. Approving an agreement with the South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce\n(Chamber) for economic development activities through a funding allocation of\nBusiness Improvement Tax revenues in the amount of $82,000; and\n2. Receive and file the South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce Annual Report.

8.\nCONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF A DISCRETIONARY FUNDS REQUEST FROM\nCOUNCILMEMBER CACCIOTTI IN THE AMOUNT OF UP TO $900 FOR THE ANNUAL\nSTRATFORD BLOCK PARTY EVENT\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider:\n1. Finding that the requested allocation of discretionary funds to support the Annual\nStratford Block Party (Event) serves a public purpose benefitting the City; the\nexpenditure is free from any conflict of interest that arise from the use of the funds;\nand that the expenditure is not a gift to any individual, corporation or municipality\nand is only used to benefit the general public of the City; and\n2. Based on such findings, approve the requested expenditure of discretionary funds\nof up to $900 to support the Event.

9.\nCONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITYWIDE SALARY\nSCHEDULE, APPROVING TITLE CHANGES FOR SELECT POSITIONS AND\nELIMINATING VARIOUS JOB CLASSIFICATIONS\nCLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION SURVEY\nRESULTING\nFROM THE CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION SURVEY\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider adoption of the proposed Resolution to:\n1. Approve and establish the Citywide Salary Schedule commencing on September 8,\n2025;\n2. Approve the recommended title changes for select positions; and\n3. Approve the elimination of various classifications that are no longer needed.
