Authorization of the Proposition 218 Process for Proposed 2024 Solid Waste Rates and\nBudget Appropriation in the Amount of $15,000 for Printing and Postage Costs\nRECOMMENDATION: City staff recommends that the City Council:\nAuthorize staff to initiate the Proposition 218 Process to adjust rates for solid waste,\norganics, and recycling services by sending the proposed Public Notice to the City\nAttorney’s Office for any revisions substantially consistent with the form in Attachment 3\nand final approval; and set a public hearing on November 14, 2023 for the City\nCouncil’s consideration of the proposed rate schedule and five­year adjustment\nmethodology; and\nAppropriate $15,000 from the General Fund for printing and postage to all City rate\npayers
