16) DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION TO ACCEPT THE DONATION OF A RECOGNITION PLAQUE\nFOR FORMER PARK DIRECTORS JULIAN LEON AND JESS MARGARITO, AND AUTHORIZE\nINSTALLATION OF THE PLAQUE AT LAS PALMAS PARK\nRecommend that City Council:\nSpecial and Regular Meeting Notice and Agenda – April 7, 2025\na. Discuss the donation of a recognition plaque for former Park Directors Julian Leon and Jess\nMargarito;\nAND\nb. Accept the donation of a commemorative plaque from a local group of San Fernando\nresidents;\nc. Authorize Public Works to install the plaque;\nd. 5) CONSIDERATION TO APPROVE CO-SPONSORSHIP OF GAIN FEDERAL CREDIT UNION\nFINANCIAL SUMMIT AND USE OF THE CITY SEAL\nRecommend that the City Council:\na. Approve Co-Sponsorship of Gain Federal Credit Union Financial Summit that will benefit\nand support the community;\nb. Approve the use of the City seal on the print material and social media pursuant to City\nCouncil Ordinance No. 1724;\nc. Authorize the participation in, use of the City seal, and waive fees for use of City’s facilities\nfor co-sponsored events, with City Manager approval.

6) CONSIDERATION TO AUTHORIZE SUBMITTAL OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE BOARD OF\nSTATE COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS FOR THE BYRNE STATE CRISIS INTERVENTION PROGRAM\nGRANT - COHORT 2\nRecommend that the City Council authorize the preparation and submittal of a grant\napplication to the Board of State Community Corrections in the amount of $1,000,000 for the\nByrne State Crisis Intervention Program Grant – Cohort 2.

7) CONSIDERATION OF A LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY LETTER FROM THE SAN FERNANDO CITY\nCOUNCIL TO LOS ANGELES UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT 6 BOARD MEMBER KELLY GONEZ, IN\nSUPPORT OF INCREASING POLICE PRESENCE AND PARTNERSHIPS ON SCHOOL CAMPUSES\nRecommend that the City Council continue this item until the Regular City Council Meeting on\nMay 5, 2025, to provide sufficient time for all interested City Councilmembers to meet with\nBoard Member Gonez, per City Council direction provided at the March 3, 2025 Regular\nMeeting.

8) CONSIDERATION TO APPROVE A RENEWAL CONTRACT WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES\nFOR PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES\nRecommend that the City Council:\na. Approve a renewal contract between the City of San Fernando and the County of Los\nAngeles (Contract No. 2350) for Public Health Services effective July 1, 2025 through\nJune 30, 2029, thereafter automatically renewing for consecutive five year terms; and\nb.
