5)\nCONSIDERATION TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF THREE POLICE VEHICLES AND REQUIRED\nEMERGENCY VEHICLE EQUIPMENT AS AUTHORIZED IN THE SAN FERNANDO MUNICIPAL CODE\nURGENCY PURCHASING AUTHORITY, ADOPT A RESOLUTION TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS, AND\nAPPROVE DISPOSITION OF SURPLUS CITY-OWNED VEHICLES\nRecommend that the City Council:\na. Approve the purchase of two 2025 Ford Police Interceptor Utility (K8A) AWD, Hybrid police\nvehicles and one 2025 Ford Police Interceptor Utility (K8A) AWD, Gas police vehicle from\nNational Auto Fleet Group and Sourcewell, a cooperative purchasing agreement, for the\nPolice Department, executed by the City Manager under the urgent purchasing authority\npursuant to Chapter 2, Article VI, Division 6, Section 2-804 of the San Fernando Municipal\nCode;\nb. Approve the urgency Purchase Order with National Auto Fleet Group in an amount not to\nexceed $190,000 for the purchase of the three vehicles, as executed by the City Manager\nunder the urgent purchasing authority pursuant to Chapter 2, Article VI, Division 6, Section\n2-804 of the San Fernando Municipal Code;\nc. Approve the purchase of the required emergency equipment for outfitting the vehicles in\nan amount not to exceed $60,000 with a 10% contingency for unforeseen costs associated\nwith equipment installation through an existing agreement with Dana Safety Supply, Inc.;\nd. Adopt Resolution No. 8392 to appropriate Equipment Maintenance and Replacement Fund\nbalance in the amount of $256,000 for the purchase of Police fleet vehicles and the cost\nassociated with outfitting of the vehicles with emergency police equipment;\ne. Declare vehicles that are to be replaced as surplus and authorize the City Manager, or\ndesignee, to dispose of three salvage surplus City owned Police Department vehicles being\nreplaced, in accordance with Chapter 2, Article VI, Division 7, of the SFMC; and\nf. Authorize the City Manager, or designee, to make any non-substantive changes and execute\nall related documents.
