THEATER RENTAL FEE WAIVER REQUEST BY ASIAN AMERICAN\nADVOCACY ALLIANCE FOR THANKS USA EVENT\nThe Asian American Advocacy Alliance (AAAA) has requested a waiver of the\ntheater rental fee for their upcoming free performance and health fair event,\nThanks USA, on Saturday, May 9, 2026. AAAA has requested a waiver of the San\nGabriel Mission Playhouse building and equipment rental fee of $4,200 for the\nperformance and rehearsal days of the event.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council grant a partial waiver of the San Gabriel\nMission Playhouse rental fee in the amount of $4,200 for the May 9, 2026\nperformance and one day of rehearsal for the Asian American Advocacy\nAlliance’s upcoming Thanks USA event.

THEATER RENTAL FEE WAIVER REQUEST BY ASIAN ARTS TALENTS\nFOUNDATION\nThe Asian Arts Talents Foundation (AATF) has requested a waiver of the theater\nrental fee for their upcoming free performance on Saturday, June 27, 2026.\nAATF has requested a waiver of $8,000 of the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse\nrental fee for the performance day and rehearsal of the upcoming community\nperformance.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council grant a partial waiver of the San Gabriel\nMission Playhouse rental fee in the amount of $6,070 for the Asian Arts Talents\nFoundation’s June 27 community performance.
