1. REVIEW OF DRAFT FISCAL YEAR 2024-25 CAPITAL EQUIPMENT AND\nCONSTRUCTION PLANS AND 5-YEAR FORECAST\nRecommendation: Staff recommends that the City Council review the draft FY 2024-\n25 capital equipment budget and 5-year plan and provide direction and guidance on\ntwo matters: 1) approve or reject the proposed FY 2024-25 expenditures, and 2)\noffer guidance on any FY 2025-26 or beyond projects that should be moved up into\nFY 2024-25. Staff will include the Council’s direction in the proposed budget.

2. APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH FISCAL YEAR 2024-25\nPUBLIC SAFETY SPECIAL TAX LEVIES\nRecommendation: Staff recommends that the City Council approve a public safety\nparcel tax levy of $3,528,294. No increase to the levy is being proposed for this fiscal\nyear. If the City Council concurs with staff’s recommendation, an appropriate motion\nwould be:\n“I move to approve Resolution No. R-24-02 establishing the Public Safety Special Tax\nLevies for Fiscal Year 2024-25.”\nCONSENT CALENDAR

ACCEPTANCE OF $22,000 IN MEMBER AGENCY ADMINISTERED\nINCENTIVE PROGRAM FUNDS FROM THE METROPOLITAN WATER\nDISTRICT OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TO BE USED TOWARDS THE\nPROCUREMENT AND INSTALLATION OF IRRIGATION UPGRADES ON\nCITY LANDSCAPED MEDIANS\nRecommendation: Staff recommends the City Council accept Member Agency Public\nAgency Project funds from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California to\nbe used towards the procurement and installation of two irrigation controllers and\nappurtenant devices as described in the staff report.\n“I move to accept $22,000 in Member Agency Administered Incentive Program funds\nfrom the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California to be used towards the\nprocurement and installation of irrigation upgrades on City landscaped medians, as\ndescribed in the staff report.”
