1. MISSION STREET BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT DISCUSSION\nRecommendation: Staff recommends that the City Council direct staff to proceed with\nthe final design and bidding of the project to include the elements selected by Council\nfor the beautification of the Mission District. If the Council concurs, an appropriate\nmotion would be:\n“I move to approve the following elements: complete sidewalk replacement and\ninstallation of street tree lighting (and/or any other options that may be selected by\nCouncil) to be included in the final design of the project, and direct staff to proceed\nwith the final design and bidding of the project.”\nCONSENT CALENDAR

2. ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. O-24-1413 AMENDING MUNICIPAL\nCODE SECTIONS 14.18.07 (MAINTENANCE) AND 23.16.03\n(DEFINITIONS) AND ADDING MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 23.16.24\n(PROHIBITION ON ARTIFICIAL TURF AND GRASS) TO PROHIBIT\nARTIFICIAL TURF AND SYNTHETIC GRASS IN THE CITY\nRecommendation: Staff recommends the City Council adopt Ordinance No. O-24-\n1413. If the City Council agrees, an appropriate motion would be:\n“I move to adopt Ordinance No. O-24-1413, an Ordinance of the San Marino City\nCouncil amending Municipal Code Sections 14.18.07 and 23.16.03 and adding\nMunicipal Code Section 23.16.24 to prohibit the installation of artificial turf and\nsynthetic grass in the City.”

3. APPROVAL OF CONTRACT RENEWAL FOR PLAN CHECK SERVICES\nWITH VANDORPE CHOU ASSOCIATES, INC. (VCA)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends the City Council approve the contract and\nauthorize the City Manager to execute the agreement. If the City Council concurs\nwith staff’s recommendation, an appropriate motion would be:\n“I move to approve the contract renewal for VCA and authorize the City Manager to\nexecute the agreement.”

4. AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE MEMORANDUM OF\nAGREEMENT WITH SAN GABRIEL VALLEY COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS\n(SGVCOG) FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE SAN GABRIEL VALLEY\nREGIONAL FOOD RECOVERY PROGRAM\nRecommendation: Staff recommend that Council authorizes the City Manager to\nexecute the Memorandum of Agreement between the San Gabriel Valley Council of\nGovernments and the City of San Marino for participation in the San Gabriel Valley\nRegional Food Recovery Program.\n“I move to authorize the City Manager to execute the Memorandum of Agreement\nbetween the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments and the City of San Marino\nfor participation in the San Gabriel Valley Regional Food Recovery Program.”

5. APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT #1 TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE\nIMPERIAL COUNTY OFFICE OF EDUCATION AND THE CITY OF SAN\nMARINO FOR THE PROVISION, INSTALLATION, AND MAINTENANCE\nOF ADVANCED NETWORK (DATA) SERVICES AT THE CROWELL PUBLIC\nLIBRARY\nRecommendation: Staff recommends the Council approve the Amendment #1 to the\nAgreement between the Imperial County Office of Education and the City of San\nMarino for the provision, installation, and maintenance of advanced network (data)\nservices at the Crowell Public Library. If the City Council concurs with staff’s\nrecommendation, an appropriate motion would be:\n“I move to approve the Amendment #1 to the Agreement between the Imperial\nCounty Office of Education and the City of San Marino for the provision, installation,\nand maintenance of advanced network (data) services at the Crowell Public Library,\nand authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement on behalf of the City.”

6. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. R-24-26, UPDATING THE CONFLICT\nOF INTEREST CODE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARINO\nRecommendation: Staff recommends the Council adopt Resolution No. R-24-26\nupdating the Conflict of Interest Code of the City of San Marino. If Council concurs\nwith staff’s recommendation, an appropriate motion would be:\n”I move to adopt Resolution No. R-24-26, updating the Conflict of Interest Code of\nthe City of San Marino.”
