COMPLIANCE WITH NEW LEGAL OBLIGATIONS RE: PUBLIC HEARING\nON CITY VACANCIES AND RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION EFFORTS\n(ASSEMBLY BILL 2561/GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 3502.3)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends the Council adopt Resolution No. R-25-07,\nadopting procedures for the public hearing required by Government Code Section\n3502.3. (AB 2561) pertaining to employee vacancies, recruitment and retention and\nbecause staff has not identified any necessary changes to policies, procedures, or\nrecruitment activities, receive and file the report. If the City Council concurs with\nstaff’s recommendation, an appropriate motion would be:\n“I move to adopt Resolution No. R-25-07 and to receive and file this year’s report as\nrequired by Government Code Section 3502.3.”\nNEW BUSINESS

2. SELECTION OF FY 2025-26 PRIORITY INITIATIVE PROPOSALS\nRecommendation: Staff recommends that the City Council engage in a discussion and\ngive direction on which priority initiatives they would like staff to incorporate into the\nCity’s Fiscal Year 2025-26 work plan and budget.\nCONSENT CALENDAR

3. APPROVAL OF PROCUREMENT FOR FURNITURE REPLACEMENT (YEAR\n1) AT THE CROWELL PUBLIC LIBRARY\nRecommendation: Staff recommends the Council approve of the procurement of the\n67 desk chairs from Yamada Enterprises totaling $43,145.19 to complete Year 1 of\nthe budgeted furniture replacement at the Crowell Public Library. If the Board\nconcurs with staff’s recommendation, an appropriate motion would be:\n“I move to approve of the procurement of the 67 desk chairs from Yamada\nEnterprises totaling $43,145.19 to complete Year 1 of the budgeted furniture\nreplacement at the Crowell Public Library.”

4. APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO WAIVE SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT FEES FOR\nTHE 2024 JP BLECKSMITH RUN\nRecommendation: Staff recommends that the City Council waive the Special Event\nPermit fees associated with the JP Blecksmith Run. If the City Council agrees with\nstaff’s recommendation, an appropriate motion would be:\n“I move to waive the Special Event Permit fees associated with the JP Blecksmith\nRun.”

5. APPROVAL OF THE INSTALLATION AND WAIVING OF COSTS FOR THE\nSAN MARINO SCHOOLS FOUNDATION STREET POLE BANNERS\nRecommendation: Staff recommends that the City Council approve the request from\nthe San Marino Schools Foundation and waive the installation costs. If the City\nCouncil concurs with staff’s recommendation, an appropriate motion would be:\n“I move to approve a request from the San Marino Schools Foundation that is in\naccordance with Resolution No. R-14-22 for the installation and display of banners\ncitywide between April 1 and June 30, 2025.”

6. CASH AND INVESTMENT REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF JANUARY 2025\nRecommendation: Staff recommends the Council receive and file this report. If the\nCity Council concurs with staff’s recommendation, an appropriate motion would be:\n“I move to receive and file the Cash and Investment Report for the Month of January\n2025.”

7. RECEIVE AND FILE MONTHLY DISBURSEMENTS REPORT FOR\nFEBRUARY 2025\nRecommendation: Staff recommends the Council receive and file the Monthly\nDisbursements Report for the month of February 2025. If the City Council concurs\nwith staff’s recommendation, an appropriate motion would be:\n“I move to receive and file the Monthly Disbursements Report for the month of\nFebruary 2025.”

8. APPROVAL OF MINUTES\nRecommendation: Staff recommends the Council approve the February 2025\nMinutes. If the City Council concurs with staff’s recommendation, an appropriate\nmotion would be:\n“I move to approve the Minutes of the Special Meeting of February 12, 2025, the\nRegular Meeting of February 12, 2025, and the Adjourned Regular Meeting of\nFebruary 28, 2025.”
