INTRODUCTION OF AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING COUNCILMEMBER\nCOMPENSATION PER GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 36516 - City\nGovernment Code Section 36516(a) allows regular adjustments to the City Council\ncompensation. City Council to consider Councilmember compensation increase to be\neffective 2025. The last increase of Councilmember compensation was effective in 2023.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\nCity Council introduce and pass to second reading an ordinance entitled "AN\nORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA,\nCALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 2.04.048 OF THE SANTA CLARITA\nMUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING CITY COUNCIL SALARY."

4. CONTRACT FOR NEWHALL PARK POOL PUMP ROOM DESIGN, PROJECT\nP2021 - This item considers awarding a design contract to Pacific Advanced Civil\nEngineering, Inc., for $206,570 to design the Newhall Park pool pump room and storage\narea.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\nCity Council:\n1. Award the design contract to Pacific Advanced Civil Engineering, Inc., for the\nNewhall Park Pool Pump Room Design, Project P2021, in the amount of $187,790\nand authorize a contingency in the amount of $18,780, for a total contract amount not\nto exceed $206,570.\n2. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all documents, subject to City\nAttorney approval.

5. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING AMENDMENT WITH LOS\nANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT FOR THE PROPOSITION\n1 DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT PLANNING GRANT\nPROGRAM - This item considers amending the Memorandum of Understanding for the\nDisadvantaged Community Planning Grant for the Upper Santa Clara River Integrated\nRegional Water Management region.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\nCity Council authorize the City Manager or designee to execute “Amendment 1” to the\nMemorandum of Understanding with Los Angeles County Flood Control District\n(LACFCD) for the implementation of the 2016 Proposition 1 Disadvantaged Community\nInvolvement Program for the Upper Santa Clara River watershed within LACFCD's\njurisdictional boundaries, subject to City Attorney approval.\nThis time has been set aside for any speakers that have turned in speaker cards and were not\nheard in the first thirty minutes allotted to address the City Council on items that are NOT on the\nagenda.
