10. INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 1157 TO AMEND TITLE XIII, CHAPTER\n136 OF THE SANTA FE SPRINGS MUNICIPAL CODE ADDING NEW\nDEFINITIONS AND SECTIONS 136.03 TO 136.07 TO ESTABLISH REGULATIONS\nCONCERNING THE ABANDONMENT OF PERSONAL PROPERTY ON PUBLIC\nPROPERTY (POLICE SERVICES)\nRECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:\n1) Determine that Ordinance No. 1157 is exempt from the California Environmental\nQuality Act (“CEQA”) pursuant to the Section 15061(b)(3) of the CEQA\nGuidelines; and\n2) Waive full reading and introduce by title only Ordinance No. 1157, amending Title\nXIII, Chapter 136 of the Santa Fe Springs Municipal Code (“SFSMC”) establishing\nregulations concerning the abandonment of personal property on public property;\nand\n3) Authorize an appropriation not-to-exceed $30,000 to cover associated costs with\nstoring personal property abandoned on City property.

GRANT AWARD AGREEMENT WITH SAVE THE CHILDREN FOR THE SANTA\nFE SPRINGS CITY LIBRARY (COMMUNITY SERVICES)\nRECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:\n1) Approve and authorize the Director of Community Services to execute the\nSubaward Agreement Between Save The Children Federation, Inc. And The\nSanta Fe Springs City Library; and\n2) Approve the recognition of $15,000 grant funds awarded by Save the Children\nand authorize the deposit of these funds into the Library & Cultural Services\nAdministration's Contribution – Association/Private revenue account (No.\n10105699-430020); and\nFebruary 4, 2025: City Council Meeting Page 6 of 6\n3) Approve an increase in expense authority by $15,000 in the Library & Cultural\nServices Activity (No. 10105699) as outlined in the Fiscal Impact section to allow\nfor the expenditure of the grant funds; and\n4) Take such additional, related, action that may be desirable.

SECOND READING OF ORDINANCE NO. 1154 – ADDING SECTION 10.24\n(NAMING OF PUBLIC FACILITIES AND STREETS) TO CHAPTER 10 (GENERAL\nPROVISIONS) OF TITLE I (GENERAL PROVISIONS) OF THE SANTA FE\nSPRINGS MUNICIPAL CODE AND DETERMINE THAT THE ACTION IS EXEMPT\nUNDER CEQA (COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT)\nRECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:\n1) Adopt Ordinance No. 1154:\nAN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA FE SPRINGS ADDING SECTION\n10.24 (NAMING OF PUBLIC FACILITIES AND STREETS) TO CHAPTER 10\n(GENERAL PROVISIONS) OF TITLE I (GENERAL PROVISIONS) OF THE\nSANTA FE SPRINGS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE NAMING OF\nPUBLIC FACILITIES AND STREETS\n2) Take such additional, related, action that may be desirable.\nAPPOINTMENTS TO BOARDS, COMMITTEES, AND COMMISSIONS\nCOUNCIL COMMENTS/AB1234 COUNCIL CONFERENCE REPORTING\nCouncil member announcements; requests for future agenda items; conference/meetings\nreports. Members of the City Council will provide a brief report on meetings attended at the\nexpense of the local agency as required by Government Code Section 53232.3(d).

INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 1156 TO AMEND SECTION 70.01\n(DEFINITIONS) OF CHAPTER 70 (GENERAL PROVISIONS) AND TO ADD\nSECTION 72.26 (PARKING RECREATIONAL VEHICLES IS PROHIBITED ON\nANY CITY STREET) TO CHAPTER 72 (STOPPING, STANDING, AND PARKING)\nWITHIN TITLE VII (TRAFFIC CODE) OF THE SANTA FE SPRINGS MUNICIPAL\nCODE (POLICE SERVICES)\nRECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:\nFebruary 4, 2025: City Council Meeting Page 5 of 6\n1) Determine that Ordinance No. 1156 is exempt from the California Environmental\nQuality Act (“CEQA”) pursuant to the Section 15061(b)(3) of the CEQA\nGuidelines; and\n2) Waive full reading and introduce by title only Ordinance No. 1156: An Ordinance\nof the City of Santa Fe Springs amending Section 70.1 of Chapter 70 and adding\nSection 72.26 to Chapter 72 of Title VII (Traffic Code) of the Santa Fe Springs\nMunicipal Code; and\n3) Authorize an appropriation not-to-exceed $40,000 to cover the cost of purchasing\nrequired parking signage, supplies and associated installation costs.
