REGIONAL TRAINING GROUP CIVILIAN ASSISTANT PLANNING\nCOORDINATOR (PART TIME): AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE REQUEST\nFOR PROPOSALS (FIRE)\nRECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:\n1) Authorize the Fire Chief to advertise a Request for Proposals to fill a 2023 State\nHomeland Security Program grant funded Regional Training Group (RTG) Civilian\nAssistant Planning Coordinator (Part Time) position; and\n2) Take such additional, related, action that may be desirable.

12. DEFERRED COMPENSATION 401(A) PROGRAM (HUMAN RESOURCES)\nRECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:\n1) Approve the amendment to the City’s existing 401(a) benefit plan for all\nAssociations pertaining to the City’s Deferred Compensation program.

SAFETY SERVICES INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDS ASSESSMENT – AWARD OF\nPROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN\nSERVICES (PUBLIC WORKS)\nRECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:\n1) Award a Professional Services Agreement to Westgroup Designs, Inc. for\narchitectural services for the Safety Services Infrastructure Needs Assessment\nfor a total not-to-exceed fee of $99,880; and\nMay 6, 2025: City Council Meeting Page 6 of 6\n2) Authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement; and\n3) Appropriate $100,000 from the Utulity Users Tax (UUT) Capital Projects\nReserve Fund for the project: and\n4) Take such additional, related action that may be desirable.

AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF HANDHELD RADIOS AND REPEATERS FOR\nPOLICE SERVICES, PUBLIC WORKS, AND PARKS & RECREATION\n(POLICE SERVICES)\nRECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:\n1) Authorize the Director of Police Services to issue a purchase order to CommLine,\nInc. in an amount not-to-exceed $87,277 to facilitate the procurement of (80)\nKenwood NX 1300 handheld radios, (3) Kenwood VP 8000 emergency radios,\nand (2) DMR/UHF repeaters including hardware, wiring materials, programming\nand installation; and\n2) Authorize a budget transfer from Parks and Recreation Contractual Services\n10106110-542050 in the amount of $10,000 and Public Works-Street\nMaintenance Supplies 10432001-521000 in the amount of $50,000 to Public\nSafety Officer Patrol-Miscellaneous Equipment Replacement 10102220-523030\nfor the above listed services; and\n3) Appropriate $27,277 from the General Fund to cover the remaining costs related\nto the above purchase and installation costs; and\n4) Take such additional, related action that may be desirable.
