REQUEST TO WAIVE FEES FOR USE OF CITY FACILITY AND WAIVE THE\nPROHIBITION OF ALCOHOL AT CITY FACILITIES\nSummary:\nThe Signal Hill Community Foundation (SHCF) is proposing to host a fundraising\nevent on Friday, May 12, 2023, benefitting the City of Signal Hill community.\nSHCF is requesting a waiver of the fees for the use of the Signal Point Terrace,\nwith the option to utilize the Community Room as a backup in the event of\ninclement weather, and permission to provide alcoholic beverages at the event.\nRecommendation:\nApprove waiver of the fees for use of the Signal Point Terrace and the use of the\nCommunity Room (as a backup in the event of inclement weather); City staff\ncosts; use of equipment; and waiver of the prohibition of alcohol at City facilities.

CONTRACT SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ROGERS ANDERSON MALODY\n& SCOTT, LLP (RAMS) FOR PROFESSIONAL INDEPENDENT AUDITING\nSERVICES\nSummary:\nThe City Council will consider approving a Contract Services Agreement with\nRogers Anderson Malody & Scott, LLP (RAMS) for professional independent\nauditing services.\nRecommendation:\nAuthorize the City Manager to enter into a Contract Services Agreement with\nRAMS as the independent certified public accounting firm to audit the financial\nstatements of the City of Signal Hill and its component units, in the amount of\n$154,810, for an initial three-year term with an option to extend the term for two\nadditional one-year terms, in a form approved by the City Attorney.
