Resolution declaring a continued emergency and authorizing repair, replacement or\nmaintenance activities of public Facilities related to the Urban Orchard, City Project No.\n539-PRK without public bidding, pursuant to the Emergency Contracting Procedures of\nthe South Gate Municipal Code and the California Public Contract Code\nThe City Council will consider making a finding and adopting a Resolution declaring an\nemergency still exists and authorizing repair, replacement or maintenance activities of public\nfacilities related to the Urban Orchard, City Project No. 539-PRK, without public bidding, pursuant\nto the emergency contracting procedures of the South Gate Municipal Code and the California\nPublic Contract Code. Resolution amending Resolution No. 6454 (Salary Resolution and Position\nClassification Plan) to retitle the Deputy Director of Administrative Services/Finance to\nDeputy Director of Finance in the Administrative Services Department and update the Job\nClassification Specification and Consolidated Salary Pay Table\nThe City Council will consider adopting a Resolution amending Resolution No. 6454 (Salary\nResolution and Position Classification Plan) by taking the following actions: (HR)\nl) Retitle the Deputy Director of Administrative Services/Finance to Deputy Director of Finance;\nand\n2) Approve the update to the job classification specification, direct staff to update the title on the\nconsolidated salary pay table, and approve the salary pay table to be updated and returned to the\nCity Council for approval on a semi-annual basis each April and October.

Resolution amending Resolution No. 6454 (Salary Resolution and Position\nClassification Plan) to approve a full-time Senior Housing Specialist in the Community\nDevelopment Department, approve the Job Classification Specification, and update the\nConsolidated Salary Pay Table\nThe City Council will consider adopting a Resolution amending Resolution No. 6454 (Salary\nResolution and Position Classification Plan) by taking the following actions: (HR)\n1) Approve the full-time position of Senior Housing Specialist in the Community Development\nDepartment;\n2) Approve the classification specification for the full-time position of Senior Housing Specialist;\nand\n3) Direct staff to update the Consolidated Salary Pay Table for the City of South Gate by adding\nthe full-time position of Senior Housing Specialist at Pay Grade 568 ($5,809 - $7,061 monthly), a\nNon-Exempt Classification assigned to the Municipal Employees Association ("MEA").

5. Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 2023-130-AC with Willdan Engineering, Inc., for\nadditional funding for staff augmentation\nThe City Council will consider: (CD)\na. Approving Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 2023-130-AC with Willdan Engineering, Inc., for\na period not to exceed one (1) year in the amount of $175,000;\nb. Appropriating $100,000 from the General Fund to cover the remaining balance for Amendment\nNo. 1; and\nc. Authorizing the Mayor to execute Amendment No. 1 in a form acceptable to the City Attorney.

6. Agreement with Design West Engineering for Engineering Design Services for the\nEmergency Back-up Generator Replacement Project, City Project No. 704-GEN\nThe City Council will consider: (PW)\na. Approving an Agreement with Design West Engineering for engineering design services for\nthe Emergency Back-Up Generator Replacement Project, City Project No. 704-GEN, in an\namount not to exceed $178,665;\nb. Authorizing the City Manager to approve contingency amendments to the proposed Agreement\nat a cumulative cost of up to $50,000; and\nc. Authorizing the Mayor to execute the Agreement in a form acceptable to the City Attorney.
