9G.\nAUTHORITY TO ADVERTISE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF FISCAL YEAR (FY) 24/25\nCITYWIDE STREET RESURFACING PROJECT (TASK CODE NO. 2025-101) AND FY\n25/26 CITYWIDE ALLEY RESURFACING PROJECT (TASK CODE NO. 2026-102)\nThe plans, specifications, and necessary documents for the FY 24/25 Citywide Street\nResurfacing and FY 25/26 Citywide Alley Resurfacing Projects are complete. The City\nEngineer is recommending City Council approve the specifications and plans for bidding,\nsubject to revision by the City Engineer and the City Attorney, to ensure the construction\ncontract is awarded in an efficient and timely manner. The Project plans and\nspecifications are available in the City Engineer’s Office for review.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council find that these projects are exempt from the California Environmental\nQuality Act (“CEQA”), Class 1, Section 15301(c) as repair, maintenance, and minor\nalteration of existing streets, sidewalks, gutters, and similar facilities; and\n2. Approve the bid specifications and plans, subject to revisions required by the City\nEngineer and the City Attorney; and\n3. Authorize and advertise for bids the FY 24/25 Citywide Street Resurfacing Project and\nFY 25/26 Citywide Alley Resurfacing Project.

9H.\nCYPRESS COLLEGE FOUNDATION ANNUAL AMERICANA AWARDS\nCity Council consider participation through a sponsorship contribution for the 51st Annual\nCypress College Foundation Americana Awards scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2026.\nThis awards ceremony is used as a fundraiser for the Cypress College Foundation with\nall proceeds benefiting Cypress College students and programs and honors the Citizen\nof the Year from surrounding communities. This year Ms. Linda Gallagher has been\nselected and will be honored as the City of Stanton’s Citizen of the Year.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council find that this item is not subject to California Environmental Quality Act\n(“CEQA”) pursuant to Sections 15378(b)(5)(Organizational or administrative activities\nof governments that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the\nenvironment); and\n2. Approve the City’s participation through a sponsorship contribution for the 51st Annual\nCypress College Foundation Americana Awards; and\n3. Discuss and direct staff to proceed with the purchase of the Benefactor Sponsorship\nat a cost of $4,000 which includes registration for ten (10), half-page color donor\nacknowledgement in the Americana Program, and recognition on their website and\nfrom the stage.\nEND OF CONSENT CALENDAR
