SB 1383 - San Gabriel Valley Regional Food Recovery Program –\nMemorandum of Agreement\nRecommendation: That the City Council authorize the City Manager to sign a\nLetter of Agreement and execute the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with\nthe San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments (SGVCOG) and the City of\nWalnut for participation in the San Gabriel Valley Regional Food Recovery\nProgram (“Program”).

11. Fiscal Year 2023-24 Area 3 Slurry Seal Project – Final Acceptance\nRecommendation: That the City Council:\n1. Accept the work performed by Doug Martin Contracting Company for the\nFiscal Year 2023-24 Area 3 Slurry Seal Street Project;\n2. Authorize staff to increase the change order amount by $5,957.07 to Doug\nMartin Contracting Company, Inc. to not exceed $126,232.02;\n3. Decrease the Purchase Order to RKA Consulting Group by $5,957.07 to not\nexceed $69,042.93; and\n4. Authorize the City Clerk to file the proper “Notice of Completion.”

12. Diversity Plaza Project – Final Acceptance\nRecommendation: That the City Council:\n1. Accept the work performed by Act 1 Construction for the Diversity Plaza\nProject;\n2. Appropriate $36,510.00 from available Park In-Lieu Fund Reserves (06);\n3. Authorize staff to increase the Purchase Order to Act 1 Construction in the\namount of $9,884.56 to a not exceed total of $1,879,674.46;\n4. Authorize staff to increase the Purchase Order to RKA Consulting Group in\nthe amount of $55,000.00 to a not exceed total of $199,179.00; and\n5. Authorize the City Clerk to file the property “Notice of Completion.”

Resolution No. 24-43 – Public Nuisance Abatement; Declaration of Public\nNuisance for a Substandard Property Located at 20228 Collegewood Drive\n(APN: 8712-015-022)\nRecommendation: That the City Council:\n1. Open the Public Hearing;\n2. Hear the Staff Report;\n3. Solicit public input on this item;\n4. City Council Discussion;\n5 Close the Public Hearing;\n6. Adopt Resolution No. 24-43 and declare the following Property as a Public\nNuisance: 20228 Collegewood Drive (APN: 8712-015-022);\n7. Appropriate $1,320 from the General Fund into account 01-5002-6227 to\ncover the cost(s) of the abatement; and\n8. 8. Fourth Amendment to the Agreement for Professional Services between the\nCity of Walnut and VCS Environmental\nRecommendation: That the City Council:\n1. Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute and administer the Fourth\nAmendment to the Agreement for Professional Services between the City of\nWalnut and VCS Environmental, in substantially the form attached hereto,\nand in such final form as approved by the City Attorney; and\n2. Authorize the City Manager to execute and administer implementing\ndocuments and amendments up an additional contingency amount of Sixty\nThousand Dollars ($60,000) necessary to complete the professional services\ncontemplated by the Agreement, as amended, provided developer funds are\navailable in the project deposit account and the implementing documents and\namendments are in such final form as approved by the City Attorney.

Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District – Measure A\nAnnual Allocation Agreement\nRecommendation: That the City Council authorize the City Manager, on\nbehalf of the City of Walnut, to execute the Annual Allocation Agreement with\nthe Los Angeles County Regional Park Open Space District (RPOSD) to allow for\nreimbursement from Measure A funds for approved park projects.
