Pre-Approved Construction Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Plans and\nTemplate Program\nRecommendation: Approve the Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) residential\ntemplates and adopt Resolution No. 2024-06, authorizing the completion of\nthe City of Whittier’s Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) pre-approved\nconstruction plans.\nEnvironmental\nThe Pre-Approved Construction Plans for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU) is\nexempt under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines\nSection 15061(b)(3) statutory and categorical exemptions because the\napproval of the template ADU structures would not create a significant effect.
