Authorization to Purchase Replacement Fleet Vehicles and Parks Maintenance\nEquipment\nRecommendation:\nThat the Town Council:\n· In accordance with the municipal code section 3.12.100 - G, finds\nthat adherence to the procedures in this chapter would be\ninefficient, impractical and unnecessary, and authorizes the\nutilization of informal bidding with the goal of obtaining the\ndesired purchase at the lowest cost to the taxpayer.\n· Authorizes a Purchase Order in the amount not to exceed\n$185,000 to Ford of Redlands for purchasing three(3) 2023 Ford\nF-150 Trucks (Gasoline Power) replacement of Vehicle #10, #46,\nand #47.\n· Authorizes a Purchase Order in the amount not to Exceed\n$40,000 to Paradise Chevrolet/Cadillac to purchase one (1) one\n(1) 2023 Chevrolet Bolt Electric Vehicle replacement for Vehicle\n#61.\n· Authorizes a Purchase Order in the amount not to exceed\n$36,000 to John Deere to purchase two (2) 2023 Gator Utility\nVehicles replacement for equipment #40.\n· Declares Vehicle #10. Vehicle # 46, 47 and Vehicle # 61, and Toro\nWorkman 3200, vehicle #40 as surplus, and approve the sale of\nsurplus vehicles and equipment, authorizing the Town Manager\nto auction/sell the vehicles through a public bidding/auction\nprocess or through disposition through auto dismantling\nservices.\n· Authorizes the Town Manager or designee to execute all vehicles\nsales paperwork and selling of the surplus vehicles.
