26. Empowering Probation Providers to Carry Naloxone\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisors Hahn and Horvath: Instruct the\nChief Probation Officer to train all Probation officers who work at Probation’s\njuvenile detention facilities on the use of Naloxone, supply them with Naloxone,\nand direct them to carry Naloxone on their person, and allow contracted\nproviders including, but not limited to, substance use disorder treatment\nproviders, Department of Mental Health providers, and credible messengers, to\nbe supplied with, and empowered to carry Naloxone on their person when in\nProbation’s juvenile detention facilities; and instruct the Executive Director of\nthe Probation Oversight Commission to inspect Probation juvenile detention\nfacilities and report back to the Board on the implementation of the above at a\nregularly scheduled Probation Oversight Commission meeting in 90 days and\n180 days, and report back to the Board in writing whenever the Probation\nOversight Commission observes noncompliance with the above after 180 days\nand going forward.
