42. Relative Home Assessment Services Sole Source Contract Amendments\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Children and Family Services to\nexecute sole source amendments to Relative Home Assessment Services\n(RHAS) contracts, to extend the contracts for six months, effective January 1,\n2025 through June 30, 2025, with the total amount for the six-month extension at\napproximately $6,775,889, 24% funded by Federal funds, 74% local funds and\n2% Flexible Family Supports (FFS) funds, with the total projected cost\nconsisting of $5,989,889 for the six-month extension, $661,000 in Relative\nCaregiver Emergency Funds, and $125,000 in FFS funds; and authorize the\nDirector to take the following actions: (Department of Children and Family\nServices) APPROVE\nExtend the RHAS contracts for up to an additional 12 months, by written\nnotice, contingent upon the approval of the California Department of\nSocial Services, if necessary, to complete the Request for Proposals,\nprovided that funding is available;\nExecute RHAS contract amendments to increase or decrease the\nmaximum annual contract amount by no more than 10% to accommodate\nan increase or decrease in the number of RHAS participants to be\nserved, provided that funding is available;\nExecute RHAS contract amendments to incorporate changes as\nmandated by Federal, State, or Municipal laws, regulations, or court\norders, provided that funding is available;\nExecute amendments to the contract to make changes to the scope of\nwork or the terms and conditions to meet program needs, and;\nTerminate a contract for Contractor’s Default.
