43. Relative Support Services Sole Source Contracts Amendments\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Children and Family Services to\nexecute sole source amendments to current Relative Support Services (RSS)\ncontracts to extend the term for six months, effective January 1, 2025 through\nJune 30, 2025, with a total projected amount of the six month extension of\napproximately $2,281,800, 24% funded by Federal funds, 71% funded by Local\nfunds and 5% funded by Flexible Family Supports (FFS) funds, the total\nprojected cost is comprised of $1,939,600 for the six-month extension,\n$233,000 in Relative Caregiver Emergency Funds, and $109,200 in FFS funds;\nextend the RSS contracts for up to an additional 12 months, by written notice,\ncontingent upon the approval of the California Department of Social Services, to\nallow sufficient time to complete the Request for Proposals process, provided\nthat funding is available; and authorize the Director to take the following actions:\n(Department of Children and Family Services) APPROVE\nExecute amendments to increase or decrease the maximum annual\ncontract amount by no more than 10% to accommodate an increase or\ndecrease in the number of RSS participants to be served, provided\nfunding is available;\nExecute amendments to incorporate changes as mandated by Federal,\nState, County or Municipal laws, regulations, or court orders, provided\nfunding is available;\nExecute amendments to make changes to the scope of work or the terms\nand conditions to meet program needs; and\nTerminate a contract for contractor’s default.
