County Code, Title 8 - Consumer Protection, Business and Wage\nRegulations Ordinance Amendment\nOrdinance for adoption amending County Code, Title 8 - Consumer Protection,\nBusiness and Wage Regulations, Chapter 8.52, Rent Stabilization and Tenant\nProtections to, effective January 1, 2025, limit annual rent increases for fully\ncovered rental units to 60% of the change in the consumer price index over the\nprevious 12-month period, not to exceed a maximum increase of 3%, allow\nqualifying small property landlords to exceed the maximum increase by an\nadditional 1% annually, which in total shall not exceed 4%, allow luxury unit\nlandlords to exceed the maximum increase by an additional 2% annually, which\nin total shall not exceed 5%, and allow tenants who have a permanent physical\ndisability related to mobility and who live in fully covered rental unit, to move into\nan accessible rental unit if certain conditions are met.
