8.1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, COUNTY OF\nLOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE GENERAL\nMUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 5, 2024, DECLARING THE RESULT\nAND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED BY LAW\nComments:\nA General Municipal Election was held in the City of Lynwood on Tuesday, November 5,\n2024. California Elections Code Section 10263 states upon the completion of the official\ncanvass of results by the County, prior to the installation of new officers, the City Council\nshall adopt a resolution reciting the facts of the election and declaring elected the persons\nfor whom the highest number of votes were cast for each office. (CC)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council take the following actions:\n1. Adopt the resolution entitled " A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY\nOF LYNWOOD, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, RECITING\nTHE FACT OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 5, 2024,\nDECLARING THE RESULT AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED BY\nLAW" and\n2. Receive and file Exhibit "A" Certificate of Canvas and Statement of Votes Cast as\nprovided by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk.
