(also known as CivicPlus) for Continuation of\nPublic Records Portal Services.\nThis item will be considered in the afternoon session which is scheduled to begin at\n1:00 p.m.\nTotal Estimated Cost of Proposed Action and Funding Source:\nThe total amount of this Second Amendment is not-to-exceed $71,991.67 and is available\nin the General Fund Communications budget.\nCouncil District(s) Affected: Citywide.\nProposed Actions:\nAdopt the following Ordinance which was introduced on 11/12/2024, Item S500 (Council\nvoted 7-0, Councilmember Whitburn-not present, Councilmember von Wilpert-not\npresent):\n(O-2025-44)\nOrdinance authorizing the Mayor, or his designee, to execute Amendment No. Two to the\nNextRequest Service Agreement with NextRequest Co. (also known as CivicPlus),\nextending the term by six months through June 30, 2025, with an option to extend for an\nadditional six-month period through December 31, 2025; and increasing the total not-to-\nexceed amount by $71,991.67 for continuation of the City’s online public records request\nportal services including the annual license, software-as-a-service, fully hosted,\nmaintained, and cloud-based services, bringing the total not-to-exceed amount of the\nAgreement to $365,438.17, and related funding actions.\n6 votes required pursuant to Charter Section 99.\nCommittee Actions Taken:\nThis item was heard at the Rules Committee meeting on October 30, 2024.\nACTION: Motion by Councilmember Campillo, second by Vice Chair LaCava, to\nrecommend Council approval of staff’s proposed actions.\nVOTE: 5-0; Elo-Rivera-yea, LaCava-yea, Lee-yea, Campillo-yea, Moreno-yea.\nCommunications: Angela Laurita, (619) 533-6507\nCity Attorney Contact: Markecia Simmons
