2. Award the construction contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, AWI Builders,\nInc., in the amount of $13,943,211 and a 10% contingency for a total not to exceed amount of\n$15,337,532.10, for the Anaheim Fire Station No. 12 (Platinum Triangle) Project, located on\nParcel 1 of Parcel Map No. 2006-262 on South State College Boulevard between Gene Autry\nWay and Katella Avenue, and waive any irregularities in any of the proposal documents;\nauthorize the Director of Public Works to execute the contract and any other related\ndocuments, and to take such actions as are necessary to implement and administer the\ncontract; direct and authorize the Finance Director to execute the Escrow Agreement pertaining\nto contract retentions; authorize the Mayor to execute the Grant Deed to subdivide the parcel\nfor Fire Station No. 12; and authorize the City Clerk to record the Grant Deed in the Orange\nCounty Clerk-Recorder’s Office.
